Rob St. Pierre is the Sr. Process Engineer for the City of Saskatoon’s Water Treatment Plant and member of the Waterworks Program Team. He has 17 years experience in Water Treatment and has held a variety of roles including engineering roles, commissioning of capital projects, project management, and management including both maintenance and operation. Rob holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan in Chemical Engineering. He also has received a Master’s Certificate in Project Management from Edward’s School of Business and a Strategic Decision and Risk Management Certificate from the University of Texas at Austin. Rob’s experience at the Water Treatment Plant has included the commissioning and tie-ins for major projects including the Avenue H Reservoir and Pumphouse upgrade, Transfer Pumping and Electrical Upgrades Project, Chemical Feed Upgrades, Clarifier 1 installation, and 42nd Street Reservoir and Pumphouse. In 2022 Rob aided a team in delivering a decision quality review of the recently updated capital plan to determine the timing and need for a second water treatment plant. Throughout his time at the plant Rob has enjoyed collaborating with the operations and maintenance staff and helping to face the challenges of bringing a plant that has operational components from 1911 into the current age.
