About me
Kristof Karpiuk, P.Eng. is Director of Operations at MS Filter Systems, specializing in the deployment and commissioning of enhanced slow-sand filtration systems for small municipalities and Indigenous communities. A graduate of Carleton University’s Civil Engineering program, he leads field implementation, operator training, and upgrades of legacy plants. Kristof’s role provides direct exposure to the day-to-day operational realities faced by water treatment plant operators, enabling him to build strong, trust-based relationships and deliver practical, operator-centred solutions. His hands-on experience, from construction through startup, gives him a practical understanding of the operational challenges of small systems, which informs his operator-centred approach to system design and optimization.
